Vivian Chiu Tseng

In her artistic practice, she focuses on the feelings of nostalgia combined with her own experiences of life. Often playing with elements of her surrounding and childhood, she uses a variety of subjects and materials in her art form – painting.
“The most important thing for me is the personal story the artwork tells. Though I like to use colours on the brighter side, most of my paintings are about trauma, bad experiences and misunderstandings. They’re constantly yearning for safety and comfort. Which is also a dream that I often dream of for the world.”
Beside painting, she’s very keen of writing and animation.
A little bit of everything, as she likes to say.
