the wish to stay
(Malerei und Installation)
No matter how much we want to hold on, time keeps moving.
We become attached to places – to a home, a routine, familiar walls. Then something shifts, and we move on.Sometimes we bring things with us.Other times, we leave behind what once felt important.
Change is the one thing we can count on.It doesn’t wait, and it rarely asks if we’re ready.Still, there’s a part of us that wants to stay put – to hold on to a space that feels like ours, filled with objects that mean something, that remind us of who we were and what mattered. But what does it mean when that space is nearly empty? When the things that once held our stories are gone?
