Judith Eisler

Born 1962 in Newark, New Jersey. Received a BFA from Cornell University in 1984. Since 2009 Professor at the Universität für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna. Past teaching positions include University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Yale University, New Haven, Ct., and School of Visual Arts, NYC. Recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2002.

Solo exhibitions in NYC, Vienna, Berlin, Munich and Los Angeles. Included in the 2007 exhibition »The Painting of Modern Life« at the Hayward Gallery in London and the 2015 exhibition »I Love John Giorno« at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Lives and works in Vienna and Warren, Ct.
