In his narrative, Borges describes a library as an infinite collection of signs and ideas which the reader must discover for himself and put together in order to make sense of them.<br>\u00a0<br>In our library we have replaced the books with pictures and built a perplexing exhibition architecture of corridors and separated rooms. The works are encountered in their various exhibition locations, alone in niches, in conversation with other works, and in narrow or wider aisles. The narrative of Borges will become part of the exhibition in excerpts.<br>\u00a0<br>The young artist\u2019s works are connected only by the fact that they study in the class of Professor Judith Eisler. Therefore, we do not want to impose a &#8220;red thread&#8221; on the exhibition. Alles.<\/p><cite>Jorge Luis Borges: \u201eDie Bibliothek von Babel\u201c<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<!-- \/wp:quote -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Grundlage f\u00fcr die Konzeption der Ausstellung ist die Erz\u00e4hlung \u201eDie Bibliothek von Babel\u201c von Jorge Luis Borges (die auch im Spielzeitheft des Burgtheaters eine Rolle spielt). Borges beschreibt in seiner Erz\u00e4hlung eine Bibliothek als unendliche Sammlung von Zeichen und Ideen, die der Leser f\u00fcr sich entdecken und zusammensetzen muss, um ihnen einen Sinn zu geben.<br><br>In unserer Bibliothek ersetzen wir die B\u00fccher durch Bilder und bauen eine un\u00fcbersichtliche Ausstellungsarchitektur aus G\u00e4ngen und abgetrennten R\u00e4umen. Die Werke finden darin ihre sehr unterschiedlichen Ausstellungsorte, alleine in Nischen, im Kontext zu anderen Werken, und auch in engen oder weiteren G\u00e4ngen. Die Erz\u00e4hlung von Borges wird in Ausschnitten zum Teil der Ausstellung werden.<br><br>Die Werke der jungen K\u00fcnstler*innen verbindet nur die Tatsache, dass sie alle in derselben Klasse von Judith Eisler studieren. Deshalb wollen wir den ausgestellten Werken auch keinen \u201eroten Faden\u201c aufzwingen. Vielmehr verstehen wir diese begehbare Installation als eine Einladung an die Besucher*innen, sich aus den ausgestellten Bildern und aus Borges Erz\u00e4hlerstimme, eine eigene Bibliothek zu
